Working in a reduced capacity or have you had to temporarily shut down locations?

There are a number of items that should be addressed to ensure that the units are shut down properly and safely.

Suggested reduced use/shut down procedures include:

  • Clean and sanitize ice machines.
  • Gas units are properly shut down.
  • Fryers are emptied and boiled out.
  • Steamers are descaled and drained.
  • Hot water heaters are flushed and drained.
  • Walk-ins/coolers are addressed based on an individual basis

The steps we have taken include:

  • For the safety of our employees, most of our Backoffice staff are now working at home until it is safe for them to return to the office. We prepared for this type of situation by implementing tools that allow our Backoffice workforce to work remotely just as efficiently as if they were in the office.
  • For those still needing to work in our office we have arranged workspaces to insure adequate social spacing.
  • We have implemented expanded cleaning procedures for our facilities and for our workforce when they are working at customer facilities.
  • Our technicians who may need to enter your facility have been supplied with a variety of disinfectants approved for foodservice applications. This will allow them to maintain the highest degree of protection for themselves, your employees and your customers.
  • Technicians are instructed to disinfect all work areas after completing repairs or other services and to disinfect items such as mobile devices before handing them to customers. We have also instructed technicians to adhere to any customer practices or policies that may be required.
